Join us for a unique 3hr adventure, out to the infamous Goodwin Sands.
The Dover Sea Safari team will take you out aboard either the Dover Explorer or Dover Pioneer and fingers crossed if sea conditions allow, transfer you by means of small tender on to the Goodwin Sands.
Depending on the tide and weather conditions, you should get approximately 45 minutes to explore or picnic on the Goodwin Sands.
Have a game of cricket....
Why not follow the tradition first started in the summer of 1824, Captain K. Martin, then the Harbour Master at Ramsgate, instituted the proceedings of the first known cricket match on the Goodwin Sands.
To our knowledge this has died out since the Hovercraft stopped running all those years ago. It's time to restart the tradition with monthly summer matches.
Seals and Wrecks....
Spot the abundant seals to be found basking on the Goodwin Sands or look for the remains of the many wrecked ships that can become exposed from time to time with the shifting sands.
Please note;
This trip is a real adventure. Please do expect to get wet, we will do our best to keep you dry! Bring a dry set of clothing that you can change into when back ashore in Dover. We have a very nice suite of changing rooms with hot showers!
Everyone must have good mobility for the tender transfer.
